DENTON, Texas — UNT track and field will wrap up the regular season at the Alumni Muster on Saturday at Texas A&M's E.B. Cushing Stadium.
The Mean Green will take on 13 other teams including the Aggies, Baylor, Missouri and other regionally located programs. The one-day meet is slated to begin at 9 a.m. CT with the women's 5,000 meters before kicking off field events at 10 a.m. with the women's hammer throw. Competition is expected to end around 7 p.m. following the conclusion of the 4x400-meter relays.
With the postseason looming, North Texas will get a feel for the host site of the NCAA West Prelims later this month that will also be hosted by Texas A&M. The Mean Green also competed in College Station earlier this season at the 44 Farms Team Invitational.
QUOTE FROM COACH MARSHALL
"Heading to A&M this weekend for the final regular season meet of the year. This will serve as a great tune-up for conference in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to the competition there this weekend. We have a solid group travelling and we plan to execute and put some good performances out there before conference."
LAST TIME OUT
The Mean Green split up between two meets with the majority of the team going to Fayetteville for the John McDonnell Invitational, while the throwers competed at the Texas Invitational. Brya Brewer won the triple jump competition with a mark of 12.68 meters in her outdoor season debut.
