Soccer Back Home to Host McNeese

DENTON - The UNT soccer team will return home after its first road trip of the season to host McNeese on Thursday night at 7 p.m.Â
The Mean Green (2-2-0) are coming off a 2-1 win on the road at Prairie View A&M when they fell behind early before scoring two straight goals on a free kick-header from Rachel Roebuck to Summer Brown and a second-half converted penalty kick from Roebuck for the game-winner.
McNeese comes to Denton with a 1-2-1 mark, with a 4-0 win over Southern last week, a pair of shutout losses to North Dakota and Louisiana and a 1-1 road draw with LA Tech. The Mean Green are 3-0-0 all-time against the Cowgirls. The teams' last meeting was in Denton on Sept. 13, 2013, and ended in a 2-0 Mean Green win. UNT has outscored McNeese, 15-1, in the all-time series.
