Men's Basketball Falls To East Carolina 63-59

DENTON – The UNT men's basketball team lost 63-59 to East Carolina on Friday at the Super Pit.
The Mean Green (12-8, 3-4) were led in scoring by Je'Shawn Stevenson who finished a game-high 18 points. David Terrell Jr. scored 12 points and had five rebounds.
"Give ECU a ton of credit," said North Texas head coach Daniyal Robinson. "They came in with a great gameplan. I felt like there were opportunities late in the game to turn the game in our favor but they made a few more plays down the stretch."
The Pirates (6-14, 1-6) outrebounded the Mean Green 43-28 and got key offensive rebounds late. ECU's Giovanni Emejuru finished with 10 points and 16 rebounds.
North Texas travels to Tulsa next as they'll face the Golden Hurricane Wednesday night.
