DENTON, Texas – The UNT men's golf team will add a pair of talented prospects to the program next fall with Connor Bryce and Dion Regan signing with the Mean Green during the early signing period.
"We couldn't be more excited to have these two young men joining the Mean Green program next fall," Calcatera said. "They set us up for future development and will make a big impact to our program immediately."
Connor Bryce I Dallas, Texas
A local product of Dallas, Texas, Connor Bryce will make the short trip to Denton for his collegiate career. He is one of the best prep players in the region with five top-25 finishes in American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) events in 2025.
Bryce has also represented Team Texas at the 17U PGA Jr. League National Championship and finished tied for 15th at the 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson Qualifier.
Quoting head coach Luke Calcatera:
"We have known Connor for a long time and are super excited for this day to be here. He is one of the most athletic junior players in America and has a cruising swing speed that is one of the fastest in his recruiting class. Connor is a glue guy that will bring a great energy to our guys and we can't wait to have him in Denton."
Dion Regan I Ceredigion, West Wales
Regan will come to Denton after a successful prep career overseas. He has earned four top-10 finishes in USGA sponsored events, including wins at the 2024 Faldo Junior Tour Europe Grand Final and FJT – Wales Championship.
He has also been a frequent member of national teams, competing for Great Britian at the Jaques Leglise tournament twice.
Quoting head coach Luke Calcatera:
"Dion is coming to Denton from Wales and has already had multiple head-to-head wins against P3 college players in major amateur events. Dion is really dynamic in his golf swing and knows how to compete and succeed in high level fields, which will transition well to high-level Division I golf."
