Volleyball Hosts South Florida Before Visiting Temple

DENTON, Texas – The UNT volleyball team looks to get back in the win column this weekend as it hosts South Florida on Friday at the UNT Volleyball Center before quickly traveling to Temple two days later.
Friday's match against the Bulls is set for 6 p.m. CT while first serve on Sunday comes at 11 a.m. CT. Both matches will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

- UNT trails South Florida 2-1 in the all-time series, which began in 2023. The Mean Green won the first meeting in four sets in Tampa before dropping the last two matchups, including a 3-1 road loss last season.
- Friday marks just the second all-time meeting between North Texas and South Florida in Denton. The Bulls won the first matchup at the UNT Volleyball Center in five sets during the 2024 season.
- The Mean Green own a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series against Temple, with every meeting coming in the past three years. UNT won both matchups in Denton but is still looking for its first victory in Philadelphia after falling in straight sets there on Nov. 10, 2024.
- North Texas won the most recent meeting with Temple, taking a four-set decision in Denton last season.
- The Mean Green enter the weekend with an 8-7 overall record and a 1-3 mark in American Conference play after dropping a pair of road matches at East Carolina and Charlotte. They have lost three in a row overall.

- The North Texas lineup features a strong middle blocker duo in Loredana Fouonji and Addison Achilles. Achilles leads the Mean Green at 54.0 total blocks, while Fouonji ranks second with 45.0 of her own.
- Sophomore libero Alessandra Romo has anchored the UNT defense all season long, leading the team in both digs (210) and service aces (18). Her 210 digs rank second across the American Conference.
- UNT continues to receive significant contributions from its setter tandem of Sidney Soria and Olivia Branum. Soria leads North Texas with 330 assists, while Branum's five double-doubles are most on the squad.
