Mean Green Lose Late To Tulane

DENTON – The UNT men's basketball team lost 77-71 at Tulane Thursday night.
The Mean Green (15-12, 6-8) were led by sophomore Je'Shawn Stevenson and junior David Terrell Jr. as they combined for 41 points. Terrell Jr. matched his career high with 21 points. Along with his 20 points — his 10th 20-point game of the year — Stevenson tied his career high with seven rebounds.
"Give Tulane a ton of credit," said North Texas head coach Daniyal Robinson. "They kept fighting after we got a double-digit lead. Our guy's effort was there but we didn't finish the job."
UNT led the Green Wave (16-10, 7-6) on Thursday by 15 points with 11 minutes remaining.
The Mean Green will have to quickly bounce back as they host Florida Atlantic Sunday at 3 p.m. CT.
