Nestor Earns Second American Conference Player of the Week Award

IRVING, Texas – UNT senior forward Megan Nestor was named the American Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Nestor put together one of her best performances of the year Saturday at Temple, helping the Mean Green overcome a 13-point deficit for its largest comeback victory of the season. After a back-and-forth fight through the first three quarters, Nestor secured the victory with an impressive final frame that included scoring all 13 of UNT's points and back-to-back late baskets to tie and then take the lead for good.
In all, she finished the afternoon with 20 points, 13 rebounds and four steals as part of her league-leading 14th double double of the season.
Nestor also received the conference's weekly honor back on Dec. 8 for her 34-point, 31-rebound game against Texas Southern, giving North Texas a multi-time winner of the award in each of the past four seasons.
