Conley collects second career weekly conference player of the week award
IRVING, Texas – UNT softball junior Madison Conley won American Conference Player of the Week, the second such honor of her career, the league announced Monday.
Conley led the Mean Green to a home series victory over Florida Atlantic as she reached base safely in nine of 11 plate appearances and finished with a .857 batting average and 2.143 slugging percentage. She tallied multiple hits in all three games, including a home run in each contest, and recorded seven RBI, five runs scored and three walks.
In game two of the series, Conley reached 100 career hits with a tie breaking three-run home run in the second inning. For the season, she leads the American with 13 home runs, .862 slugging percentage, 1.366 OPS and 94 total bases while ranking inside the top 10 for hits (44), batting average (.404), on-base (.504), runs (29), RBI (36) and walks (20).
The recognition marks the first American player or pitcher of the week award of the season for any UNT player and the second of Conley's career. Last season, she was named First Team All-American Conference with the first unanimous selection in program history while she picked up player of the week honors on April 21, 2025.
Conley is the eighth player in program history to win multiple conference offensive player of the week awards and first since former teammate Cierra Simon did so on April 14, 2025.
North Texas travels to Tarleton State on Wednesday with first pitch set for 6 p.m. from Tarleton Softball Complex.
