Mean Green Set to Take on ULM

DENTON - The UNT soccer team will return home following a season-opening loss at SMU to host ULM on Thursday night at 7 p.m.Â
The Mean Green (0-1-0) are coming off a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Mustangs in Dallas on Sunday night in a match where UNT went toe-to-toe with the ACC program before SMU scored midway through the second half to seize control. UNT will be looking to avenge last year's 1-0 loss to the Warhawks in Monroe, Louisiana, before ULM went on to win the Sun Belt. The Mean Green will also be looking to win their regular-season home opener for the first time since 2023, when they beat Northwestern State 3-0.
The Warhawks come to Denton with a 1-0-1Â record, including a 6-1 win over Alcorn State on Sunday.Â
UNT holds a 6-2-0 all-time series advantage against the Warhawks. Both ULM wins in the all-time series have come in Monroe.
