Zack Womack begins his fifth year as the director of strength and conditioning with the North Texas strength department.
Womack worked at North Carolina from 2012-16, where he worked with UNT head coach Seth Littrell for two seasons. He joined North Carolina after serving as the head strength and conditioning coach at East Central University from 2010-12.
Prior to his time at East Central, he served as an assistant strength coach for football at the University of Illinois from 2005-10. Womack also served as an assistant coach at the University of Florida and the University of Memphis in 2004.
Womack, a 2004 graduate of East Central, is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is a certified coach by USA Weightlifting. He is also a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
Womack and his wife Courtney have three children: GG, Charlee and Walker.
