Joining the North Texas women’s basketball staff for the 2022-23 season as the video coordinator will be former player, Alexis Hyder. Hyder played for UNT, LSU, and has played professionally overseas for five years.
In her five years of playing professionally, she was in Sweden for three of them, one summer in Australia, and finished it out in Greece. She got into the coaching world as the video coordinator for FIU. She spent one season with the Panthers in 2019.
Hyder was electric for the Mean Green in the 2012-13 season she averaged a team-best 14.2 PPG, 8.8 RPG, and was seventh in the Sun Belt in blocks. She was a Third Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection. Hyder closed her career out strong, averaging 18 PPG over her last six games including a career-high 25-point outing in the First Round of the Sun Belt Tournament.
An Austin, Texas native, Hyder graduated from LSU with a degree in Sports Administration and a minor in Business.
