Amanda is in her second year as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the North Texas volleyball team. She is currently working on her master's degree in higher education with a specialty in student affairs.Â
Amanda received her bachelor's of science in athletic training, with a minor in food and nutrition, from the University of Alabama in the spring of 2014. While at Alabama she primarliy worked with track and field, cross country, baseball, and at two high schools in the Tuscaloosa area. In 2013, she traveled with the Alabama football team as a student trainer after first completing an eight-week internship at Boston College.Â
Prior to her college training days, she began her athletic training career in 2007 at Prestonwood Christian Academy in nearby Plano, TX. There she was able to work with two state championship teams (football and men's basketball) during her senior year in 2010.Â
The DFW-area native is excited to return home to be a part of the Mean Green volleyball staff. Amanda and her fiancé, Caleb McVicker, plan on making DFW their home after getting married in June of 2016.
