2002: Played in 32 matches, starting 24 times . . . Recorded 311 kills and her 2.88 kills per game were the second most on the team . . . 11 double-doubles were the third most on the team and the seventh most in the Sun Belt Conference . . . It took just five matches for the West-Virginia transfer to break into the North Texas record books, nailing eight service aces against UT San Antonio, which ranks tied for third all time . . . Finished the season with 39 aces, the second most on the squad . . . 2.39 digs per game (258 total) was the third highest average on the team . . . Racked up seven block solos and 14 block assists from her outside hitter position . . . 33 assists were the second most on the team for a non-setter position . . . For a four-game match, she smashed a Sun Belt Conference season-best 27 kills against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Those 27 kills were also tied for the fourth most out of all Sun Belt Conference players for any match.
West Virginia: Piled up 250 kills, 315 digs, 37 blocks, 25 service aces and nine assists over 134 games played in her two years at West Virginia . . . Recorded 16 kills and 23 digs, both career highs, against Furman during her freshman campaign . . . Competed in just 33 games her freshman season, but in 101 her sophomore year . . . Finished the 2001 (sophomore) season with 179 kills (tallied 10 or more kills in nine matches), 250 digs (12 matches with 10 or more digs), 31 blocks and 23 service aces . . . Recorded six double-double's (kills and digs) in 2001 . . . Freshman season, compiled 71 kills, 65 digs, six blocks, two service aces and one assist.
High School: District co-MVP as a senior at Lamar Consolidated High School . . . Two-time all-area and all-district selection . . . Chosen sportswriters' player of the year in 1999.
Personal: Born February 25, 1982 . . . Daughter of Terry and Carol Ruskowski . . . A former player in the National Hockey League, Jill's father, Terry, is the head coach of the Central Hockey League's Laredo Bucks.
