Cole Trammell was named Director of Business Operations in February 2025.
Before coming to North Texas, Cole spent two years as the Assistant Director of Athletic Business and Travel at the University of Memphis. With four years of experience in football operations, Trammell played a key role in managing team and recruiting travel logistics, overseeing department purchasing, invoice processing, and travel reconciliations. He also served as the department liaison to campus units such as accounting, procurement, contract services, shared services, and human resources.
A 2022 graduate of Indiana State University, Trammell earned a degree in Sport Management while also minoring in Business Administration. During his time at ISU, he advanced through various roles within the football program, starting as Assistant Video Coordinator in 2019 and later serving as Assistant Operations Director from 2020 to 2022. In these roles, he coordinated team travel, organized meals, managed the Teamworks platform, and streamlined day-to-day operations. Notably, he was instrumental in developing solutions during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, working with the registrar’s office to move team position meetings into larger spaces, a practice that continues today.
A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Trammell graduated from Snider High School in 2019, where he served as a Student Coach/Technology Assistant for the Snider Football program. Despite never having played a sport himself, Cole’s passion for athletics was sparked by growing up around hockey, which continues to fuel his enthusiasm for sports. When he’s not at work, he enjoys attending sporting events and concerts across various genres.
