A three-time letterwinner in track, Alvin Chrisman helped lead the Eagles to Lone Star Conference team titles in 1940 and 1941.
He was a member of the distance medley relay team that went undefeated in 1939, which included a victory at the prestigious Penn Relays, and was a member of the relays that won the medley relay and mile relay at the Kansas Relays.
