North Texas Finishes Fourth At Baylor Invitational

WACO, Tex (10/30/02) - The Mean Green golf team finished strong in the Baylor Invitational, ending the tournament at nine-under par to place fourth in the tournament held at Bear Ridge Country Club. Brad Gibson fired a final round 69, three-under par to pace North Texas to a final round of 285. Gibson's 69 was the second best score of his career and he ended tournament tied for 13th place with a score of two-under par 214.
Brad Besler also fired a three round total of 214, which tied him at 13th for the tournament. Zach Atkinson had a steady three round score of one-over par 217. Thomas Kulak rebounded from an opening round of 76 to fire a 70 and and 71 in the final two rounds to finish at one-over par and check in at 27th place. Freddie Espericueta fired three straight rounds of 73 to end the tournament at three-over par 219.
North Texas returns to action later this week in the final fall tournament for the Mean Green as they take part in the 49er Collegiate Classic in Calimesa, California
