LARAMIE, WYOMING (10/6/02) - The North Texas soccer team dropped it's second straight game, this time to the Wyoming Cowgirls 3-1 in a non-conference game at the Wyoming Soccer Complex. The Mean Green (8-3, 2-1) ended their four game road trip at 2-2 but with two straight losses, the first coming to the Denver Pioneers on Friday night and the loss to Wyoming.
"There's no question that the thin air had a major affect on us," said North Texas Head Coach John Hedlund. "We have been on the road for a really long time now and we are definitely looking forward to getting back home".
To go along with the thin air the Mean Green have been plagued by injuries the past week with Melinda Pina and Michelle Uselton missing time. North Texas has now lost two straight games for the first time since the beginning of last season. The Mean Green return home for two straight Sun Belt Conference games starting Friday October 11 against Western Kentucky and October 13 against Middle Tennessee.
