Mean Green Tennis Runs Win Streak To Three

DENTON ( 2/21/04 ) The North Texas women’s tennis team played two matches Saturday, defeating Stephen F. Austin 6-1 in its early match and shutting out Tyler Junior College 7-0 in the afternoon.
The Mean Green improved to 7-2 on the young season and has now won its last three consecutive matches.
Five North Texas players went undefeated on the day in singles action, while all finished with at least a .500 record or better. The Mean Green won the doubles point in both matches and only had one singles match go three sets.
Krysta Lee, Kelli Royer, Megan Schmulbach, Katherine Harris, and Ingrid Stockinger all went 2-0 on the day. All four doubles teams went undefeated.
The Mean Green now returns to the road, playing at UTEP on Friday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m.
