Mean Green Take Second at Cobb/Ferrell Mean Green Classic

LANTANA, TX - After a final round of close competition, the Mean Green finished in a tie for second at the third annual Cobb/Ferrell Mean Green Classic held at the Lantana Golf Club.
"I am very disappointed with the finish today, but there is going to be some good things that happen with this group of kids," said head coach Jim Bob Jackson. "We had some good individual finishes and that is a good sign. We didn't have a good day, but that is a good sign."
The Mean Green was lead by the third place finish of Andreas Kali-Nilsson. Kali-Nilsson shot a 70-72-75 for a team low 217 in his first competition with the Mean Green.
Jason Lindgren's 215 was good for eighth place, the second top ten tournament of his career at
Reid McPherson shot a 69-73-78 in route to a tenth place finish. This was McPherson's third top ten finish at
Freshman Anthony Broussard shot a 221, earning 14th place with rounds of 73-72-76.
Brian Hatter rounded out the field for the Mean Green with a 41st place finish. Hatter shot a 228 with rounds of 74-75-79.
The University of Houston took home the first place trophy for the tournament. The Mean Green were the defending champions.
