Swimming Races For The Cure

DENTON (11/2/05) - The North Texas swimming team had a busy day on Saturday, October 15. Prior to its annual Green and White Meet, the team ran in the Race For The Cure, a 5K race in Dallas.
The Mean Green headed back to Denton afterwards and opened its 2005-06 season with the annual Green and White meet. The white team swam away with a 121-73 victory over the green team.This preseason scrimmage places members of the team against each other for competitive practice before the Mean Green face their season opponents.
The team was also visited by Dick Kimball, an Olympic coach from the University of Michigan, who ran a clinic for the North Texas divers.
