Six Swimmers Set for NIC Meet in Florida

OCALA, Fla. - A UNT contingent of six swimmers will conclude their season this weekend at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship after earning qualifying standards throughout the season. The event begins Thursday and will conclude Saturday at Ocala's FAST Facility.
The Mean Green will be represented in Florida by freshmen Vivian Anderson and Maria Jose Sanchez Castro and sophomores Mikaela Goelst, Maria Mitova, Scarlett McCloud and Jette Schindler.
There is no diving competition at the meet, but the Mean Green's three-person contingent at the NCAA Zone D Championships in College Station - Sydney Guidara, Amelia Sharp and Kamryn Wong - will have their scores count toward the UNT team score for the meet.Â
"We can't wait to get back to Ocala, Florida, to represent UNT at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships," head coach Brittany Roth said. "This meet has been historically a great opportunity for our athletes coming off of a strong showing at the American Conference Championships. The postseason is always a lot of fun as we prep our qualifiers, and I'm excited for the week of competition coming up against great athletes from across the country."
