Hutyra and Juett Named All-Region

DENTON, Tex. (12/12/06) North Texas junior forward Heather Hutyra was named to the Central Region third-team and freshman midfielder Kendall Juett was named to the Central Region all-freshman team by Soccer Buzz magazine.

The selection of Hutyra and Juett to the all-region team marks the 10th consecutive season that North Texas has had at least one player earn all-region honors.

Hutyra was named to the Sun Belt Conference first-team this season after racking up 13 goals and 31 points on the year. She was named to the all-region team for the second straight season.

Juett is the fifth North Texas freshman to be selected to the all-region team since the 2000 season. She posted one of the most prolific seasons at North Texas for a freshman, leading the team with 34 points and posting 13 goals. Her 34 points are the second most by a North Texas freshman in school history.

The duo combined to lead North Texas to 15 wins this season and to its seventh consecutive Sun Belt Conference Championship match.
