Mean Green In The Hunt At The Cobb/Ferrell Classic

The second round of play was suspended due to lighting with five holes to play.

Another newcomer, freshman Dustin Thompson, came out strong in his first collegiate round of golf with a 1-over par 73. After a 38 on the front nine, Thompson eagled the par-5 13th hole that keyed a back nine score of 35.
Howard and Thompson are tied for 22nd place.
Sophomore Harris Graham had two birdies in his opening round and shot a 3-over par score of 75.
Junior Austin Welch struggled in the first round as he posted a 4-over par 76.
Individually for North Texas Raul Lemus fired a 76 and Wayne Bailey shot an opening round of 80.
The second round will be completed tomorrow morning with a shotgun start and will be immediately followed by the third and final round.
