Broussard Places Fourth At GADO North Texas Classic

GUADALAJARA, Mexico The North Texas men’s golf team shot a third-round team score of 301 Monday to finish in sixth place at the GADO North Texas Classic. The Mean Green finished the tournament with a three-round score of 912 which was 16 shots off tournament winners Houston and Indiana which tied with a total team score of 896.
“It was a good tournament to begin the season,” head coach Jim Bob Jackson said. “We played better as a team on Monday with all five guys shooting in the 70’s. We have a long way to go, but I’m encouraged by the way we battled back after struggling in the first round.
North Texas was led by junior Anthony Broussard who shot a two-over par 74 on Monday finishing in fourth place overall with a three-round score of 221. Broussard shot 76, 71 and 74 in his three rounds. Jorge Campillo of
