North Texas Tennis Falls to UH

Houston, TX (2/09/07) No. 1 doubles team Megan Schmulbach and Aziza Aba Butain defeated UH 9-8, but were unable to lead their team to victory as the North Texas tennis team fell 0-7 to the University of Houston at Hoff Courts.
Idalina Franca and Newcomer Hollie Caras played hard at no. 3 doubles, but were ultimately defeated 8-6.
Franca also fought fiercely in no. 3 singles but fell in the third set of the tie-breaker.
“They have played hard against very tough opponents and it’s just a matter of time before things start happening for us,” said assistant coach Jeff Maren.
