North Texas Hoops Teams Host Annual Basketball Clinic

DENTON, Texas (12/13/08) Nearly 300 kids came out for fun and fundamentals on Saturday at the annual Mean Green basketball youth clinic held on the campus of the University of North Texas.
Johnny Jones and Shanice Stephens, along with their squads, ran through a variety of drills with kids of all ages. The clinic gave the participants an opportunity to learn skills and practice techniques from Mean Green coaches and players.
All participants received a voucher redeemable for complimentary admission to a future North Texas game, and all kids got a free t-shirt.
The Mean Green basketball teams return to action at the Super Pit next week. The North Texas men tip off against Houston Baptist on Monday night at 7 p.m., and the ladies host their first Sun Belt action versus New Orleans on Saturday at 2 p.m.
