Tennis Match Moved Indoors Due To Weather

DENTON, Texas (2/15/08)- The North Texas tennis team will host Sun Belt Conference rival University of Arkansas at Little Rock this Saturday at Las Colinas Country Club due to incliment weather.

This will be the first conference match for UALR (6-3), and the second for the Mean Green who are looking to extend their lead to 2-0 in conference play. North Texas’ last win against the Trojan’s was in March of 2004.

“We are excited to play UALR tomorrow,” said assistant coach Jeff Maren. “These last few matches have given us an opportunity to grow as players. We need to gather what we have learned about our players and put that into tomorrow’s match.”

Madura Ranganathan will face UALR’s No. 1 singles player, Laetitia Bourgeon, a senior from Poittiers, France. Bourgeon will play Saturday coming off an eight match winning streak in singles; beating her previous recorded of seven straight singles wins.
