NT Tennis Commences Conference Play At Home

DENTON, Texas (2/1/08) Mean Green tennis enters their first conference and home match of the season against Middle Tennessee with a record of 2-1.

With just three matches under their belt Idalina Franca and Narine Kazarova go undefeated in singles. The tennis team comes into the match winning over 76 percent of their singles matches this season.

“We’re excited to play our first conference match against Middle Tennessee,” said Mean Green assistant coach Jeff Maren. “Our mental and physical preparation is at its highest point this season and we’re looking forward to using last match as a spring board.”

The doubles team of Catalina Cruz and Rachel Wilhelm also come in undefeated with a 3-0 record while Idalina Franca and Narine Kazarova come in 2-0. The Mean Green enters into the match winning over 78 percent in doubles.

Action begins at noon on Sunday at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
