Broussard Has Season-Best Finish At The Border Olympics

LAREDO, Tex. (3/15/08) Anthony Broussard had his best finish of the season with a 1-under par 215 as he led the North Texas men’s golf team in the final round of the Border Olympics. Broussard finished in a tie for fifth place following a third round score of 2-over par 74.
The Mean Green as a team shot its worst round of the three played at the Laredo Country Club with a third round of 307. Despite the final round struggles,
Senior Cole Howard ended in a tie for 13th place with a three-round score of 4-over par 220 after a third round of 78. Dustin Thompson had the second best round of the day for an NT player with a 4-over par 76. Harris Graham and Austin Welch struggled in the third round as Graham shot an 81 and Welch posted a 79.
Individually Ben Smock shot a third round of 82 and a tournament score of 225.
