Mean Green Tennis Invitational This Weekend

DENTON, Texas (9/10/08) - The 2008-09 North Texas women's tennis team starts up their fall campaign at home on Friday, September 12 as the host of the Mean Green Invitational at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
Schools participating in the event will be North Texas, SMU, Texas Tech, Army, Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston State, UT-Arlington, St. Edwards, Abilene Christian, and Lee College.
The Mean Green are coming off a 13-9 season, its best since '86-87, and received a No. 13 ranking in the Southwest Region.
"I like the energy and committment of our team," said North Texas head coach Sujay Lama. "We have the talent and there's no excuses for us not to succeed."
The Mean Green Invitational will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday and run through Sunday. If the weather persists, the location of the tournament will be moved to an indoor facility in Las Colinas. Check back with www.meangreensports.com for further updates.
