Hale, a senior from Schertz, Texas, set the season's fastest times in three individual events, including the 100 meter freestyle where she came .01 seconds from the school record of 51.16 with her time of 51.17.
She also swam the fourth-fastest time in school history in the 200 meter Individual Medley, doing it in 2:06.39.
Hale was a member of four different relay teams that set the seasons fastest times including the 800 meter freestyle relay, which finished fourth at the Texas Invitational.
Hale's selection marks the fourth of her career and second by a North Texas swimmer along with Hiliary Riedmann in 2009. Two Mean Green divers, Delia Covo and Kendall Schmid, have also received awards.
North Texas Swimming and Diving will be back in action Jan. 6 when they head to Little Rock, Ark., to face-off with conference rival UALR.
