- For the fifth time this season, five Mean Green players scored in double figures. UNT was led by George Odufuwa's 14 points and he was joined in double digits by Josh White (12), Collin Mangrum (12), Eric Tramiel (11) and Shannon Shorter (10).
- Saturday's win was the Mean Green's sixth in a row, the team's longest winning streak since the 1991-92 season when UNT captured eight consecutive victories. During this current streak, four of those victories have been by 17 or more points.
- Josh White dished out a game-high six assists to run his career total to 228 and move into the No. 10 spot all-time at North Texas. White stands five behind No. 9 Jerome Rogers (233).
- White, who was a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line, missed on all three three-pointers he attempted and still remains one shy of moving into a tie for sixth place all-time at UNT in career three-pointers. He currently has 135.
- Collin Mangrum came in off the bench to contribute double-figure scoring for the second time this season. He matched his season high with 12 points off 4-of-5 shooting - all from three-point range. His four made three-pointers was a season best and one shy of his career high.
- For just the second time this season, George Odufuwa was perfect from the floor, connecting on all seven of the field goals he attempted. Against UT-Arlington in the second game of the season, Odufuwa hit 4-of-4 field goals.
- Odufuwa, who is entered the game averaging 10.4 rebounds per game, finished with five against the Trojans to move past Kenneth Lyons into the No. 10 spot in UNT career rebounding. Odufuwa now has 276 career boards.
- UNT entered the game leading the NCAA in made free throws with 20.2 per game and didn't hurt that average against UALR by connecting on 22-of-34 at the line.
- The Mean Green has now shot well from three-point range in both of its games against the Trojans this season. Saturday UNT connected on seven long-range shots while in the first meeting between the two Sun Belt opponents back on Dec. 31, the Mean Green connected on nine three-pointers.
- Shannon Shorter, with his 10 points on 3-of-4 shooting, has shot in double figures in 10 games this season.
- The win moves the Mean Green to 19-8 overall - one win shy of an unprecedented fourth straight 20-win season. UNT plays its final home game of the season on Thursday (Feb. 25) against Louisiana-Lafayette.
Head Coach Johnny Jones Quotes
"I thought it was very important for us to come out be focused on Little Rock. This is a very good win for our program. Over the last few years they (UALR) has been the class of the Western Division of the Sun Belt. They are a very gutsy team who plays with a great deal of energy and never quit. This was evidenced as we got out to a big lead in the first half only to see them make a run at us before the end of the half. "
"I thought it was very important for us to come out and play well in the first five minutes of the second half. Collin (Mangrum) came in and knocked down some big shots that gave us a spark and we got the momentum back. His play set the tone offensively for the remainder of the game. Defensively we wanted to limit them to one shot and we did a good job of that also. We will savor this win today and then get back to work for a very tough Louisiana Lafayette team coming in here Thursday night. Our team chemistry is very good. We have guys who are not worrying about individual stats; only winning."
On playing time
"When we get a chance to get some guys who do not play as much some time, it is very critical that they remain focused and not deviate from the offense. It is important that they pay attention to detail and I was very proud of our guys as they displayed that mentality today. You never know when you could be called upon to play, so it very important to always be ready,"
