North Texas Closes Out Play At Border Olympics

LAREDO, Texas - Rodolfo Cazaubon posted a top 20 finish to lead the North Texas men's golf team in the final day of the Border Olympics. Cazaubon shot a final round of 76 and finished tied for 20th as the Mean Green shot a final round of 302 to finish in a tie for 10th place with Air Force.
Senior Dustin Thompson was just two-shots behind as he shot the best round of the day for North Texas with a final round of 2-over par 74. Thompson was tied for 28th place.
Peter Fallon shot a third-round of 77 while freshman Carlos Ortiz bounced back from a tough opening day with a 3-over par 75. Fellow freshman Marco Scarola had troubles though with a final round of 85.
North Texas as a team had a three-round score of 903 while Texas State won the team championship.
The Mean Green returns to action on March 12-14 at the Seminole Intercollegiate.
