Johnson Wins Third Sun Belt Diver of the Week

DENTON, Texas- Sophomore diver Catherine Johnson was named Sun Belt Diver of the Week after winning the one-meter dive and placing second on the three-meter dive at the Tiger Southwest Classic. Johnson has been named Sun Belt Diver of the Week three times this season.
Catherine Johnson won her fifth straight one-meter diving with a 304.85, shattering her previous school record of 279.35 set back in February 2011. Johnson remains undefeated in the one-meter dive, conquering SMU, Wyoming, New Mexico State and Tulane earlier this season. She marginally finished second in the three-meter dive (278.46), falling less than two points shy of breaking the three-meter diving school record held by Delia Covo (280.15) set back in 2010.
The Mean Green leave for Columbus, Missouri tomorrow morning for the Missouri Invitational held on December 1-3.
