Rebecca Taylor Qualifies for Zones

SAN ANTONIO, Texas- Rebecca Taylor and the Mean Green wrapped up the three-day Incarnate Word Invitational earlier today, breaking two school records along the way.
Sophomore Rebecca Taylor snapped the program scores in the 3-meter dive and platform dive. The San Antonio native finished second in the 1-meter dive (240.65) and 3-meter dive (282.05), passing Delia Covo's 280.15 setback in October 2010. She qualified for the NCAA Zones Diving Championship that will be held in March 2012. In North Texas' second platform dive competition in program history, Taylor surpassed her previous school record (162.35) with a first place score of 202.60.
Freshman Bobbi Bliss placed fourth in the 1-meter dive with a score of 218.45.
