This was a record-breaking season for Kerestine. During the 2014 season, she set the season record for shutouts and set career marks in shutouts, saves and wins. The junior is one of two players in the conference to earn multiple defensive player of the week honors and is the only athlete with more than two accolades.
Kerestine and the Mean Green start play in the Conference USA Conference Tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 5 against No. 8 Marshall at 3:30 p.m. in Charlotte, N.C.
DENTON - North Texas goalkeeper Jackie Kerestine recorded her league-leading 12th shutout in a 4-0 win against WKU to help the Mean Green to its first Conference USA regular-season title. She was rewarded for the fourth time this season with conference Defensive Player of the Week honors.
