DENTON, Texas - The North Texas tennis team's Kseniya Bardabush, Anastasiya Shestakova and Franziska Sprinkmeyer were named first-team all-conference players, as Conference USA announced Tuesday April 29.
"It's exciting to have two singles players and a doubles team named to the all-conference team," said head coach Sujay Lama. "These three make up a solid core group that will be back next year. We have an opportunity to continue building on the progress we made this year."
Shestakova assembled a 10-5 record at the No. 2 singles spot for the Mean Green, while Bardabush went 3-3 at the No. 1 spot in conference play. Overall, Bardabush was 8-8 in 2014.
Bardabush and Sprinkmeyer were named first-team all-conference in doubles for a second-consecutive year, after earning the award in 2013 in the Sun Belt. The pair compiled a 6-0 record in 2014, and won the Las Vegas Invitational in the fall.
The Mean Green wrapped up the 2014 season with an 11-11 record, reaching the semifinal round of the C-USA championships.
