Mean Green Conclude River Oaks Invite

HOUSTON — The North Texas tennis team ended the three-day River Oaks Country Club Invite on Friday with six singles losses to Rice and a 1-3 record in doubles versus Houston.
Sophomores Ivana Babic and Haruka Sasaki won their doubles match, 8-7 (7-3).
Freshman Sille Tranberg had her first singles loss of the fall and the invite. Tranberg lost to the Owls' Anna Bowtell 6-3, 7-6 (13-11).
Fellow Mean Green freshman Nidhi Surapaneni lost 6-0, 6-2 to Rice's Michaela Haet who is the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's No. 1 ranked freshman in the country.
