DENTON — North Texas soccer junior Dominique James has been honored with the Mean Green's Conference USA Fall Spirit of Service award.
James, who recently was named the C-USA Women's Soccer Player of the Year and a NCAA All-American, has not just excelled on the field but also in the classroom and in the Denton community.
James carries a 3.818 grade-point average with a logistics and supply-chain management major in UNT's College of Business. The Fort Worth native has made the Dean's List and President's List multiple times, as well as being named C-USA all-Academic.
In the community, James is one of the soccer team's Student-Athlete Activism Committee leaders, and has helped raise money and awareness for different causes that are important for the team and the university. James is one of 14 members from all of the league's fall sports to be named to the conference's Spirit and Service award. Each school has a representative for the semester.
