DENTON — For a majority of this season, the Mean Green men's basketball team has had six guys with double digit scoring averages. They are the only team in the country that can say that. The result has equaled the best start in school history and the first team in the country to 16 wins.
But the six guys averaging over 10 points per game aren't the only contribution to the Mean Green's historic season. Whether it's the guys who average 30 minutes per game to the guys who average less than 10, head coach Grant McCasland says its taken the whole roster of 15 guys who are focused on team goals instead of personal ones. It's a attitude that has seen the Mean Green make multiple double digit comebacks this season and remain unbeaten at home.
