Swim & Dive Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

COLORADO SPRINGS – For the 15th consecutive year the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) named North Texas swim and dive to its Scholar All-America team for the spring 2019 semester.
North Texas represents one of a record 480 institutions named to the Scholar All-America team. The team boasted a 3.31 team GPA.
"This is something that is engrained in our team culture," head coach Brittany Roth said. "It's something our upperclassmen talk about to our incoming freshman every year. This is a result from the girls applying themselves to their schoolwork and their futures, what they want to do after they graduate. I believe that when you are successful and disciplined in something you are passionate about such as your sport, that success and discipline will carry over into your everyday activities. The reason they are successful in the classroom is why they are successful in the pool and vice-versa."
Swimming and diving placed 18 student-athletes on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll. Four student-athletes went on to earn C-USA Commissioner's Medals for a 3.75 GPA or better.
"Coach Roth consistently produces one of our nation's best academic performers," CSCAA executive director Greg Earhart said.
