Men's Golf Releases Tournament Schedule

DENTON - North Texas men's golf coach Brad Stracke announced his squad's 2019-20 tournament schedule on this week, and it features a handful of unfamiliar tournaments, giving his team some new courses to play and some new competition.
The Mean Green will open the year with a return trip to Dallas to play in SMU's Trinity Forest Invitational on Sept. 22-24 before making a quick turnaround and traveling west to New Mexico to compete in The Tucker on Sept. 27-28. UNT then returns home to host the Maridoe Intercollegiate on its renowned home course in Carrollton on Oct. 6-8. The team's next four tournaments - the last two of the fall slate and first two of the spring schedule - will be new, including trips to Hawaii and California, as well as another tournament in Dallas at Royal Oaks Country Club, which will be hosted by Baylor.
UNT will finish the schedule with three return trips - to Louisiana Classics, The Hayt and the Aggie Invitational before heading to the Conference USA Championship in Texarkana, Texas, April 22-25.
The Mean Green will have a solid group of returners, led by Viktor Forslund and Lenny Bergsson, as well as a touted freshman class.
"We have a top-notch schedule for 2019-2020," Stracke said. "I can't wait to get started this fall and watch our guys compete."
