C-USA Announces Basketball Schedules

DALLAS — Conference USA released its men and women's conference basketball schedules on Monday for the upcoming 2020-21 season.
C-USA announced last week a change to its regular season conference schedule and Championship formats, as approved by the league's Board of Directors that focuses on the health and safety of student-athletes. It's a 18-game regular season format for conference play that focuses on the health and safety of student-athletes. In this format, schools will play two games per visit at four select C-USA schools and host four select teams for a two-game series, while playing a rival opponent one time each home and away.
The Mean Green women begin league play on Thursday Dec. 31 at UAB and then will play the Blazers again in Birmingham, Alabama, on Saturday Jan. 2. The North Texas men's basketball team, the defending league champions, begin C-USA play at home versus UAB on Thursday Dec. 31 and again on Saturday Jan. 2.

Both entire 18-game league schedule runs until Feb. 27.
The week of March 4 and 6 is being held for make-up games postponed by COVID-19, while the Conference USA Championships will take place March 10-13 in Frisco, Texas. The top 12 regular-season finishers will quality for the conference tournament.
Game times and TV information will be announced at a later date. The nonconference portion of UNT's 2020-21 schedule is still being finalized.
Season ticket renewals were emailed to men and women's basketball season ticket holders in early October and paper copies were also mailed the address on file with the North Texas Ticket Office. The deadline to renew season tickets is next Friday, October 30th.
While capacity limitations and health and safety protocols are still being developed, the North Texas Athletics department is extending its Season Ticket Assurance Program to the 2020-21 basketball season. If any portion of the 2020-2021 men's or women's basketball schedule is impacted by COVID-19 resulting in games being canceled or the number of in-person fans being limited, Mean Green season ticket holders will have the option to apply payments to future UNT Athletics events, convert payments to donations to the Mean Green Scholarship Fund or receive a refund.
Season ticket holder benefits include discounted tickets, an exclusive season ticket holder gift, extended payment plan options and the first opportunity to be present at the Super Pit when North Texas Basketball returns.
