DENTON – North Texas swimming and diving has announced a dual meet with the University of Houston set for November 20-21. This meet will mark the first scheduled competition in the 2020-2021 season.
Â
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to compete this Fall," head coach Brittany Roth said. "Our athletes have been hard at work this semester with a 'seize the day' mentality and vigor."
Â
The Mean Green and Cougars will face off in a two-day dual format featuring 17 swimming and three diving events. Competition will get started in the morning on Friday, November 20 at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center Natatorium on Houston's campus.
Â
"I'm excited to watch the team put together solid performances, and to get to compete as a team," Roth added. This is a great chance to get a look at our strengths and our areas of improvement, and to really see where we can maximize our efforts in the season going forward."
Â
This meet will mark the first dual for the Mean Green in the 2020-2021 season and the first since a 189-163 win over Northern Iowa on February 1, 2020. North Texas was originally scheduled to be competing in the SMU Invite from November 18-21, however that meet was ultimately canceled and the Mean Green will face off with SMU in a dual on December 4 at home.
