The Mavericks have lost four of their last five games this season including the final three games of the Boerner Invitational last weekend. Despite the losing streak, the Mavericks have an offense that has produced 68 runs in their first 14 games. Led by Kimber Coetemeila and Madison Miller who are hitting .447 and .429 respectively the Mavericks hold a team batting average of .287. They have hit 20 doubles and 11 home runs while slugging at a .43 clip collectively. Coetemeila currently leads the team with five home runs and 16 RBI to go along with her team-best batting average.

UT Arlington's pitching staff sits at a 3.70 staff ERA with opponents hitting .259 against them. Allie Gardiner has gotten the most innings for the Mavericks but only sits at 24.1 IP out of the 89.0 total and sits at a perfect 3-0 record.

The Mean Green came away with the 5-1 victory behind a complete game performance from Hope Trautwein and multiple RBI days from Katie Clark and Tayla Evans in the fifth inning. Evans put the Mean Green ahead 3-1 with a two-run home run before a two-run single by Clark made it 5-1.
