• North Texas is on the road to close out the first month of the season in Norman, Oklahoma for the Courtyard Marriott Tournament. The Mean Green are currently receiving votes in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll.
• Head coach Rodney DeLong enters the weekend two wins away from 50 as the North Texas skipper. Two wins in the next 31 games will make him the fastest coach to 50 wins in North Texas history.
• This is the final pre-conference tournament for the Mean Green this season.
• Game two on Saturday and the game on Sunday are both based on how the team plays in Games 1-3.
• Junior Hope Trautwein rewrote the North Texas record book on February 21 by striking out 21 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi hitters. The 21 strikeouts is a North Texas and Conference USA record for a single-game and allowed her to hit the 400 career strikeout mark.
• The Mean Green pitching staff currently ranks first in C-USA and third nationally with a 0.88 ERA, while also leading Conference USA in opposing batting average (.163), fewest hits allowed (58), fewest runs allowed (23), fewest earned runs allowed (13), strikeouts looking (38), wins (13) and saves (3).
• Senior Hanna Rebar is in the midst of a 10 game on-base streak. Rebar is also currently on a four game hitting streak and leads the team in batting average, hits and walks.
• Hope Trautwein earned her second C-USA Pitcher of the week honor on Tuesday, Tautwein was named Conference USA's Preseason Pitcher of the Year and is the first player in program history to receieve that honor.
• Seniors Katie Clark and Lacy Gregory were both named Preseason All-Conference USA.
