DENTON — In the summer of 2015, DJ Draper, a freshman walk-on to the Mean Green men's basketball team, went to his first summer workout.
It would not be a memorable one.
As in, he soon wouldn't remember it.
The then 18-year-old 150-pound from Bedford who had no division I, II or III offers passed out in the weight room.
Now five years later, the redshrit senior who earned an athletic scholarship has developed into a key piece on offense and defense to North Texas' conference championship team and become one of the greatest shooters in the nation and in program history.
