DENTON - UNT men's golf coach Brad Stracke added another face to his program this week, when he announced the transfer of Dallas-Fort Worth native Sean Wilcox, who comes to Denton after playing three seasons for the University of Tennessee.
Wilcox, who will be a redshirt senior, attended Prestonwood Christian in Plano, where he won a TAPPS state individual and team championship, and grew up in Frisco before going off to Knoxville to start his college career.
"We are excited to have Sean join our team," Stracke said. "Sean has great experience, talent, a great work ethic and is a good teammate. I look forward to working with Sean in the near future."
Wilcox has three years of playing experience under his belt in the SEC but had his most extensive action as a redshirt freshman, when he played in 10 tournaments and had two T-7th showings (the East Bay Deli Classic and the Yale Spring Invitational). That year, his scoring average was a 73.87.
