DENTON — The back-to-back defending Conference USA champion North Texas men's basketball team hosts Buffalo Monday at 7 p.m. CT at the Super Pit.
Monday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Kyle Youmans and Hank Dickenson on the broadcast. All Mean Green men's basketball games this season can be heard on the Mean Green Sports Network on KHYI 95.3FM and on the Varsity Network app with the voice of the Mean Green Dave Barnett on the call.
The Bulls were led by Jeenathan Williams who scored 32 points and had eight rebounds. Williams led UB is scoring last season at 17.6 points per game and was named Second-Team All-MAC after the season. Buffalo just nearly missed out on making the 2021 NCAA Tournament last season as they fell in the MAC Championship title game. They did make the NCAA Tournament recently in 2018 and 2019, both times winning their first game of the tournament.
Buffalo should be somewhat familiar with the Super Pit as they played in the arena this past March in their first round NIT matchup against Colorado State.
Monday will be the second all-time meeting between the two schools. UNT beat the Bulls 102-91 way back on Dec. 11, 1999 in a neutral site game in Bloomington, Indiana.
