Tennis Hosting Midwestern State

DENTON - The UNT women's tennis team will play host to Midwestern State on Tuesday evening at 5 p.m., at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
The Mean Green (3-9) are coming off a win on Saturday at home against Missouri State, which snapped a six-match losing skid and helped the team gain some confidence heading into today's match and two Conference USA matchups this weekend against Louisiana Tech and UTSA.
In Saturday's win over Missouri State, the Mean Green got singles victories from Maria Ponomareva, Nidhi Surapaneni and Kexuan Zhou, while also claiming the doubles point with wins from Lucie Devier and Surapaneni and Saki Oyama and Sophia Hummel, to get the 4-0 sweep.
After Tuesday's match, the Mean Green will prepare to host conference foe Lousiana Tech on Friday afternoon before traveling to UTSA for another conference matchup on Sunday.
